speaker on iphone

I have a question. On my iphone when playing music,
video or any sound the sound only comes
Out of one speaker. Is this normal? Does the new

there is only one speaker. The left side is a speaker and the right side is the microphone.

okay thanks.. lol before i saw what you posted I found this link:

This sums it up.. lol I really thought i was screwed for a sec... Glad to know it's just one speaker. I haven't updated and don't plan to for a while, so this speaker will just work for now. I do have the apple bluetooth and its what i use when on calls.
