What Apple Sales People Said About iPhone

Well i haven't called yet but this thread is for responses people got from visiting the apple stores or calling in or other...

I posted this on another thread. But i'll put it here so it's all in one place.

So i called around as well. I called the local Apple store and the local corporate AT&T store and got the same answer from both--"we don't know."

It's still early. I guarantee you that we know more than most employees. Man, if only i were interested in my job as much as i'm interested in their jobs.

I called the Apple Store in Atlantic City, NJ and spoke with one of their sales people. They had no idea about the 6pm remark Jobs made. They said the phone will be in store on the 29th. So then I asked if they would probably be arriving the day before so that they could be on sale for the 29th in the morning, and the response was that they didn't know. But they said they are expecting them in store for sale on the 29th.

Personally, If nothing solid surfaces either way before the 29th, I will be going in the morning. I'd hate to show up at 6pm to find out the first batch was sold out. grrr.

Between now and then I'll be lurking the forums.

i asked a at&t ppl too and they didnt kno wither, only that its 500 beans and you can only get it in a plan

I went to Best Buy today to look at some xbox 360 games...and while i was there I stopped by and looked at some cellphones too, and best buy carries Cingular. So I asked one of the employes there about iphone, and she goes "well We just know that is coming out on july 24th" iam like "wtf july 24th, i hope you mean june 29th" she goes "ohh yeah you def. know better then me" hahahahaha so i just left

they're awfully dumb, Idk who hires those ppl

only corporate att stores and apple stores will be selling it at launch. best buy will not have them, neither will radio shack, and all those reseller stores. It is no surprise best buy store knows nothing

Well your asking them about a product they aren't carrying at launch so what did you expect. You might have just gone to a Subway and asked about the iPhone.
