jailbreaking

the more i read, i keep seeing ppl say you need to jailbreak your phone to people who have apptapp

i thought that if you have already successfully aquiered apptapp, the jailbraking process is not needed.

im confused

Correct. There are basically TWO (and only two) major "mods" to your phone.

JAILBREAKING or HACKING will let you add new apps and software to your phone.

UNLOCKING lets you use any GSM SIM you want to.

Apptapp or jailbreak or iBricker (pick your poison) does #1.

#1 can be reversed with a restore.
#2 is slightly more complicated but not by much.
