Can I search emails?

Hi,

I am a new user and cannot seem to be able to search emails in IMAP accounts, i.e dot mac or exchange. I guess in fact that I can't search any emails...am I missing something very obvious?

Also, I can send but not receive email. My inbox appears empty, whereas on my mac it contains several hundred messages.

Please help me to love this very smooth device.
