Ring Tones

I am a new member here, so I am sorry if this was mentioned somewhere. My question is this: Is it possible to make custom ring tones for your iPhone, from the music you already have on it, or to some how transfer it into the ring tones folder on your computer?

I have a 30 second clip I took from a song I purchased, that I would like to set as my ring tone, but after exhausted my limited knowledge of the iPhone's workings (only got mine yesterday!), I was quite stumped. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I was going to say the same thing but decided not to hit the submit button because I never wanted to be one of those people.

But between this question, "anyone get a refurb/how is it", and "can I use the iphone without signing up with ATT" it really is a miracle how many people want to do zero work to find out anything for themselves.

as you may know, apple just came out with the new iTunes with ringTones but you have to buy the song or if you already have it pay another .99! I too was looking for a solution short of doing a hack or something. I bought a software called iphone ring tone maker. Its a great program made by efksoft and is well worth the $15.
