I've read people refer to Jailbreak, but no one links to the app. Is it an app? Yes, I have scrolled through the 11 most recent pages of posts and there isn't a post with that name. I've searched for the word "Jailbreak" and I find posts that refer to it, but not link it.

Jailbreak is not the name of an app. It's more like the generic term now for getting your iPhone able to install 3rd party apps on it. Apps like AppTapp and iBrickr will make the jailbreaking process very simple for you without messing with command lines etc.

LOL...that's somewhat embarrassing. Thanks! I installed AppTapp and it's pretty cool. If you read about an app that does not appear in the Installer list, how do you download it?
