Get Customize as well. Used to be called Dock Swap. SendPics and Vnotes are cool too.

If you like games, look at getting blackjack, lights off. Others worth looking at are todolist, mobile chat or apolloim, wedict (dictionary), and mobile rss (news feeds).

Is that just for AIM users? Or can you log into multiple IM accts at once?

I installed Customize, but how do you get new choices for the categories to "customize"?

For example, Carrier image-->AT&T is the only choice. How do you get new ones?

There are packages you can download via Installer to add more graphics.

SendFile for sending documents (saved my life when my DSL modem died)

SendPics for sending pictures uncompressed.

Butterfly for showing off the accelerometer.

WeDict, wow.

Blackjack is much better now with double down, insurance, etc.

Summerboard, of course.

rBST, also.

TTR: Tap Tap Revolution

The list is endless.

Who here is addicted to checking Installer.app and seeing what's new or updated??? :tounge:

Is there a way to see what's new in AppTap or do you have to scroll through all the apps every time?

You have to install the image sets, like Designer Image Set, and any of the DSI files, i.e. DSI : Apple. Then they will appear in the Customize program.

I've sent the devs an email on this very subject. I'm flicking way too much since the introduction of the eDict files and Themes. What I proposed to the dev was to make each section collapsable, with an icon on the right of the grey bar to expand it. While it's collapsed, if theres a new update in that section, a star icon would appear next to the section title.

For the apps that u already have it will list all updates automatically when u launch it but as far as new apps that have been added that u didn't already DL u need to scroll thru the extensive list and see if there is anything new added that u didn't recognize b4 which I don't mind whatsoever. I'm such a kid when it comes to this, lol.

No it won't. Only APPLE updates via itunes may lock your phone.

I check installer like 4 times a day too :tounge:

I most say i check Installer maybe 4-5 times a day. Usually there is an update or new app. (but not today)

There are so many, i try most of them out, but some just don't interest me.

Currently i have installed.

Summerboard (w/ themes)
Customize (w/ themes)
rSBT
iShare
SendSong
SendPics
iFlickr
TTR
Apollo

I heard there are older sources you can download, but not though Installer. I will have to ask my friend about it.

I do wish there was an easier way to know of the new Apps's
But oh well. I am happy with what i got.

I'm addicted, I can't go a whole hour without checking for updates. My favorite App is Customize, there are some really funky choices. I love my modded iPhone. Unless Apple tells me the world will end if I don't do the Apple update. I won't be using the Apple update, if or when it comes out (Cut and Paste, may change my mind, but I doubt it) I may need to go talk to someone about this addiction. The new apps are becoming the highlight of my day. I had more to write, but sorry, have to check for updates now. I'm AppTapped, I guess that's better than other addictions, like drugs...:laugh2: M

By The Way: KUDOS to all the Hackers/Modders that have made AppTapp, iBrickr, Installer and all the Apps that go with it, work as well as they do. All of you guys and girls, have breathed new life into a phone that (now that the newness is wearing off) was starting to get boring. Great Work, Modder/Hacker Comunity, Great Work!!!! M

There are a couple of ways to get to see the other apps but the easiest is to install the Summerboard app. It will be in your list and it will allow you to scroll the main screen to see all the apps. It will also allow you to do some customization and to add some themes. It's a must.

I also check for updates at least 4 times a day.

Did you do restart your phone afterwards? Just push the sleep button in and than go to home screen, they should be there.

I think MobileFinder is one of those applications that goes beyond being "the best" and moves into the category of being a defacto install for anyone using native 3rd party apps. Its just one of those things you don't even think about.

It's part of a suite of applications that bring more of the tools you'd be familiar with on a normal computer, like copy and pasting files, to renaming, deleting, emailing and even previewing images or text files. To view the other files you need to also install MobilePreview and MobileText.

Summerboard replaces the springboard. I'm not sure how you can miss it, you see it every time you press the Home button. :2cool:

WeDict is exactly like it sounds: a dictionary lookup app. It can't do anything on its own, you have to load some of the many dictionaries available in order for it to work.

As for Mobile Finder it gives access to the file system, just like Finder (Mac) and Explorer (Windows), and then some. It can be used to copy, delete, and move files. It can set attributes. It lets you create and delete folders. It can send via email any file on the iPhone. It can launch apps and executables. It can edit text files via Mobile TextEdit when it is installed too, and view image files when Mobile Preview is installed. I'm sure I left out a few things... but how's that for starters?

Unfortunately, that is one area where third-party apps are lacking. You're lucky to find out anything, let alone a user's guide. I would imagine, since the iPhone doesn't appear to have a help system, that apps are supposed to all be self-explanatory.

Mobile Finder is somewhat intuitive (borderline IMO).

I guess it's intuitive to me since I've been using it since it first came out. Boy was it drastically different back then. Heck, I think it took over a month for Mobile Preview and TextEdit to even become functional. But little by little it progressed into a very useful app. I hope it continues to progress...
