I was doing my Saturday morning surfing, and found some info on putting apps on the iPhone.

How many people are doing this? Does it void the warranty? If you restore to factory settings, are these changes still there or can/do you do it again?
Then there are the crap-apps that may crash the iPhone as well.
Can anyone post experiences?
Thanks!

So, you have installed apps?

Does not break the warranty. At worst you'd have to restore your phone in iTunes, but that only means that it'll be back in default state (and ready to install apps to again).
No penalty in doing so, so do it...
About 80-90% of the mod forum is about what you posted about. The rest is about unlocking.
