Firmware 1.1.1 soon??

So from the screen shots of how to get your serial number on the 100 credit page, it shows firmware 1.1.1

Hopefully it's going to get released soon!!

Is there going to be anything else good on the new firmware other than the wifi itunes store?

Wow...some people have a way of just noticing this stuff. Wouldn't have even occurred to me to scrutinize the screen shots like that. Interesting. Maybe the Wifi ITunes Store is the Version 1.1.1.

thats tight. but their ICCID says 1234 1234 1234 1234, which looks pretty made up. if thats made up, it only implies the rest of the numbers could be made up as well. (well of course not the model #... bluetooth.. etc).. what? im not drunk~! lol i swear!

maybe that would have been too obvious so they airbrushed it out?

There's also a new "Home Button" setting option in the general area..........maybe it will allow you to re-sequence the widgets on the home screen?

Well at this point apparently the iPod Touch has some capability that we don't, such as an international keyboard (which is also noted on the rumors article) so some new software is out there, they just need to give it to us.

They have to give false serial numbers and IMEI numbers or else people could use those for their own purposes (unlocking, rebates)

Can't wait for 1.1.1. I just hope that I would be disappointed with whatever features they add. Hopefully they will address most of our concerns in this new updated.:laugh2:

I am only expecting wifi store which I won't use. If they added a lot features that we were asking for I would go out and completely switch to apple products. I just don't see them caring that much. Maybe that sounds harsh, if they addressed three things we want with the update then I will switch.

Sure. Traditionally, version numbers are <major>.<minor>.<patch>. A feature addition would fall into the minor category. Does wifi iTunes warrant 2.0? No, probably not. Is it so minor to be at the bug fix level and warrant 1.0.3? I don't think so.

Oh yeah my mistake ... They had all these new ads and a huge thing on the home page for apple i figures they came out. You know everytime i sync it says itunes will automatically check for software on september 18th ... anyone else have this too ...

I noticed that too. It looks like they created random data for this shot. Besides, the next revision of the firmware is 1.0.3, not 1.1.1. I've never seen Apple jump software versions numbers before.

They were being sold yesterday at the Apple Store in Aventura(Miami) Florida. Don't know about the rest of the country. They "ship" on the 28th, more than likely just for online purchases. But, they were on sale and I watched them sell the last two in the store around 7pm est.

NYC Soho store sold out of the 16 gig before 5:00pm yesterday. They still had some 8 gigs left, but were definitely selling quickly.

Like previously stated 1 (major). 0 (minor). 3 (bug fix)... so a new app would fall as minor bumping it to at least 1.1.0.
