I was wondering if anyone knows how iTunes maintains contacts and calendar appointments? The reason I ask is because I changed a bunch of contacts in my Outlook and then synced with my iPhone. What happened was that it appears that iTunes thought these were new contacts (even though they weren't) and uploaded them to my iPhone and then synced the old (outdated) contacts from my iPhone back to my Outlook. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also, it seems that iTunes has issues with syncing recurring appointments and "all day" appointments between two computers. I often see duplicates between my home computer and work computer.
One other thing I am wondering about is if anyone has been able to get categories from their contacts to sync with their iPhone? With my old blackberry their software was pretty good with syncing and the software was able to somehow track changes on contacts and calendars so duplicates didn't show up. Anyway, if anyone is having the same sorts of issues and knows if Apple plans on beefing up its integration with Outlook let me know! TIA.
