How would you compare the iPhone's SQ when listening to music on high end ear buds?

As compared to the regular iPod 5.5...

Personally notice no difference at all. I think the iPhone sounds just as good.

For starters, it has the Wolfson DAC, which has been lauded as a very clean signal. I'm not sure about the actual headphone amp used, but I can't tell any difference between the iPhone and our 4th gen iPod which we bought specifically because it was supposedly the best sounding iPod made until the new "Classic". Jury's still out on that one. I'm using a set of UEs, and a set of heavily mod'd Sony MDR-EX-91s. Looking for the perfect stand alone amp, now...
