Only way you can do that is thru hacking which is extensive work. You are really not missing a text or an email. You are just not able to read it in a timely manner but you will still read it. :)

Lol yeah I'm not missing it completely. Just that I respond some times late to txts that I didnt feel or hear .

If you really want to change the tone for notification, you will have to hack your iPhone. Just be careful though because you will lose your waranty.
