I'm also happy to read that "...nor will it maliciously design software updates to break those apps." This is good news for developers like iPhoneRingtoneMaker. :laugh2:

Sadly, Apple seems to have backtracked on that attitude - and now say future updates will 'most likely break' 3rd party apps, at least according to Engadget:
