Just bought my iPhone today. Is there a way to add new contacts i.e. restaurant's and businesses from the web if a number is listed? Or is there a program for the iPhone to search for businesses? On the Treo there was a program called Directory assistant. Very handy.

You can search for businesses in the google map app on you iPhone.

Go to a your location on google maps.
Search for something say 'pizza'
After you get the results click list.
Click the blue arrow to the right of name of the pizza joint you want to call.
Click the phone number box and it will start to dial.
Hang up.
Go to Phone | Recent and click the all button at the top.
Click the blue arrow next to the number you just called.
Click create new contact.

Thats it.
