Apple has showed us its real face the last few days. It's here for the $$$ only!!! The more I learn about Apple, the more I hate it!

I love the Quality of Apple, but its gone too far. I am a ProTools user and rely on Apple everyday.

I just bought the iPhone then a 15" Santa Rosa MBP $$$ the other day to compliment my iphone and for work. (It does Everything).

All this money I spend with apple, and I cant make my own ringtones with my own music. I paid $630.00 for my iphone a month ago which now costs $399.00 to the avarage moron in a months time!!!!!!

The ringtones I added via jailbreak are still there. Though first iPhone update Im sure Ill have to restore and lose them but as long as the jailbreak door is open i'll just add em back. Only takes about 2 mins and its not like the iphone updates come out everyday so I'm good

What about if you never had any ringtones? If I just got the .41 version, is there a way to create ringtones for free using this hack? I don't have a ringtone folder anywhere yet...

After the update to 7.4 When you plug your iphone to iTunes you will notice a ringtone tab. Click on that.
You dion't have to have any previous ringtones hacks for this to work.

create your ringtone in .wav format. convert to .m4a using iTunes then rename to .m4r. Create a ringtones folder in itunes/itunes music. Place the .m4r files in there then click on them. They will appear in the ringtones tab in iTunes.

OK sorry but I'm still a bit confused by this:embarrassed:

I have a couple of ringtones made through iPhone Ringtonemaker and have not yet downloaded the new version of iTunes. When I do and I "loose" my ringtones, can't I just put them back on again using Ringtonemaker, or.....has that somehow now been "blocked"?

Just FYI, I'm not soooo much into the ringtone thing as my daughter :)

Your help would be appreciated!

Never mind, I think I finally found my answer in another thread (tough find!!). I think the answer is yes, you can just put them back on? :)

Dude artists get royalties off of ringtones which is part of the reason for charging.
