Soft Reset?

Does anyone know how to perform a "soft" reset of the iphone?? I can't stand turning it off and back on whenever i load a new app....

i'm talking about when i create my own apps and load them in i have to completely reboot the thing for it to appear...how does ibrickr do the soft reset?

let me get more specific....when i create a folder and add files that i created into the folder...lets call it mcaram16.app/ after i load the files on i have to reboot the phone by holding on to the top button and shutting it off...it does not do it automatically.
