Agreeing with the above ^^^^ Sounds more like you may have lost (dropped) it, than it being stolen.
At any rate, refurbs are a deal -- you can buy one today without missing a beat, I suppose.
I just bought a refurb for my mom, seeing as how she loves the one I gave to my nephew.
