Firstly, read and act on http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692.

Reset Sync History and Disable third-party Outlook add-ins

Did not make any difference.
I then deleted all old recurrent meetings as described in #163 (permalink) above.
It did not help either.
Finally I Reinstall the iTunes software as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692.

I then checked "Sync calendar with marked calendars" in Itunes and discovered there where 2 checkboxes named Calendar, I checked one of them and both got checked (for some strange reason), did a sync - it still didn't work.

I then checked "Sync calandar with all calendars" in Itunes - synced, and it magically worked.

Then I discovered my Outlook now had 4 Calendars !, but only one with meetings in it.
I deleted the 3 empty Calendars from my Outlook, checked "Sync calandar with all calendars" in Itunes - did a sync and now it works flawlessly.
