I have a story to tell through the pics on my iPhone :

I truely love the central plains thunderstorms that seem to be abundant this summer.I especially love being out in the rain, especially to run. However, I am not very fond of getting caught in a torential downpour with a blown out tire. That is exactly what happened to me yesterday.
As I left the gym last night I noticed some low and ominous looking clouds all around but especially to my north and west, which was the exact direction I was headed. I drove north on Tyler taking the scenic route (if one can really believe in scenery here in Kansas) and I noticed a rhythmic tapping sound that gradually got louder. I just knew it had to be a tire so I pulled over into Pawnee Prairie park so I could assess the damage. Sure enough I had somehow managed to peel off some of my tire on the drive home. I knew it would rain soon and didn't feel like changing a tire in the rain. As I looked around this is what I saw:
