I want to thank my mom for signing me up for a good low interest credit card when i was 18. All i did for 6months was buy Gas on it. $30bucks here, $30bucks there...pay off the $60bucks in one go.

Im 20 now btw. And becuase i dont splurge and pay off the credit card ontime i got an offer from American express Platinum...i should take it lol.

Building your credit - $1500 (limit lol)
Only buying gas and not splurging $60 a month.
Walking into an Apple store and hearing the words "Approved, what size and colour of iphone 3g would you like today" - Priceless.

To the OP, just build your credit from now. By the time the next iphone comes out you will qualify for it without any deposit whatsoever. Also building ur credit will help you get a better student loan, finance a car, get lower payments and sometime down the road...buy a house for a good price.
