I was just about to give up on the dream of a stereo BT headset that easily pairs to the iPhone (3G) for music and calls. Found the Sony DR-BT22iK kit at Fry's this weekend for $60. It includes a stereo BT headset and a tiny A2DP dock-connected dongle. Installation couldn't be easier; since the dongle and the headphones were pre-paired, I first put the headphones in pairing mode and paired them to the phone. That got them set up as a headset for calls. Then I just plugged in the dongle and now the headset is connected to both the phone and the dongle simultaneously. Calls route to the headset (which does have a microphone) and music also routes to the headeset. Everything works flawlessly! Music sounds great and calls work, too. I wish all of this could be done without the dongle, but at least the dongle is tiny and uses the phone's power.

Color me pleased :-)
