I agree completely. Unfortunately, I highly suspect that any message that we reply to will go out as our "me.com" address, at least from the iPhone.
It seems to me that on Apple Mail (and maybe Outlook--it's been so long since I used it that I don't remember how it works), when you reply to an email, you can choose the email address that you want to use to send the reply. But I can't imagine how they would work on the iPhone.
