Is the iPhone's firmware country specific? Like is there a firmware for the usa iPhone and a different one for the Uk firmware? Or does everyone get the same firmware update via iTunes? So this would mean the firmware would include AT&T support for usa, and O2 support for the uk.

And if a person who lived in a country that currently does NOT have the iPhone and they were using their iPhone with jailbreak, when their country DOES get the iPhone, and they plugged their jailbreak iPhone into iTunes, would the firmware over-right jailbreak and make that iPhone work if their iPhone was on the network carrier that apple chose for the iPhone in that country?
