Well, as of June this past year, I am what's called a "Planogram Manager" for a major automotive parts company. I work mechandise onto the shelves so it's presentable, with the right amout of the right product. Before that, I was a PC desktop Support Technician and Network SOX Security Administrator. Yeah, it was a hell of a leap, but after 7 years, it gets boring in the IT field if there is no room for advancement.
And for those that are wondering, SOX are the policies put in place by the Sarbanes-Oxley act, which Congress passed in reaction to the Enron scandle. It's security accountability and protocol for publicly traded companies.
