hey guys , i was on 1.0.2 n tryin to update it to 1.1.1. problem is tht i jailbreak it update it to 1.1.1. n doing everything step by step

http://jailbreakme.com n download the appsnap thing, but the problem is tht my iphone is not recognizing wi-fi connection. idk wht to do now.
iphone shows tht i m connected to internet , in the setting it shows my ip address and subnet mask. on the top oh iphone it shows tht i m connected to wi-fi. but whn i try to go to jailbreakme.com , it gives me error sayin
"safari can't open the page because it can't find the server" .
but the problem is i m connected to internet , n also it shows on top tht i m connected but still it gives me this error.
n e one plz give me wht is goin on ? or is there ne thing wrong i m doin ?
is there ne other method to jailbreak which doesnt require wi - fi ?
plz help me guys i m stuck on it from last 1 hr.
