Have a 2006 330Ci, iPhone SW 1.1.1 worked for a month, then audio reception gave up. After 4! days in the garage (silicon valley), BMW concluded that iPhones work in 3-series produced AFTER September 06, mine is a July 06.

Make sure to check the BUILD dates of your car

Am I the only one who finds it difficult to understand that a +50kUSD "The Ultimate Driving Mashine (R)" with an BT as a 1000$ option is out-performed by a 25$ no-name BT headset from Fry's when it comes to work with a 399$ phone? Saubere Deutsche Engineursleistung, BMW.
