Perennial favorite app Flipboard has signed a deal with Apple to sell iBooks through a new category called, well, “books”. As revealed in a blog post, the new category will feature 25 sections devoted to selling you content that you can then read in iBooks.

The version of iBookstore that’s present in Flipboard has been redesigned to fit the aesthetic of the app, and feature the standard cover photo and publisher blurb. The best way to view the new category is a way to help you discover new novels, which you can then quickly buy, and read through iBooks.

The collaboration is rolling out in ten countries: United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. In exchange for directing more people to buy ebooks directly from Apple (rather than, say, through Amazon), Flipboard reportedly gets a 5% cut.
