February 3 For Verizon iPhone Launch?

According to the generally reliable BGR, the Verizon iPhone is set to launch on February 3rd. They’re basing this on an employee vacation freeze from February 3rd to February 6th, the Thursday through the Sunday. The iPhone 4 was launched on a Thursday through Sunday, and Verizon typically launches devices on Thursdays.

It’s not rock hard evidence, but it is a string of circumstantial evidence that points towards that date.

Rumors from other sources put the vacation blockade at a full three weeks around this period.

This isn’t a smoking gun, so keep your ears peeled and eyes on our site for further rumors andĀ developments. This could just as easily be for an iPad 2 launch, too.

YAWN… silly rumors, the vacation freezes are probably for their upcoming 4G thunderbolt to be released sometime in Feb.

  2. I would hope they would announce and then take preorders, this date wouldn’t give a lot of time. Surely they have learned that preorders go more smoothly than a swarm at Verizon and Apple stores that brings down itunes and another activation nightmare. I would hope they’ve learned but who knows, its all still rumors.

  3. HELLOOOO IPAD 2. When did iPad come out last year January What does Apple do every freaking year with products, UPGRADE! While it could be the “One more thing” I don’t see it being a very logical time to do an iPhone RELEASE! Yes i could see them announcing it and allowing pre-orders but they would have to sync it up with the AT&T iPhone refresh As well which would mean iPhone in June-July and it would be last Generations. But the last generation would not necessarily be a bad thing because they nailed this iPhone i would buy this phone 5 years from now if it were on Verizon Wireless.
