If you ever needed proof that the App Store approval and voting process is utterly broken, look no further than this. Two apps, both claiming to be Halo 4 somehow made it into the App Store. They have fake screenshots from the real Halo 4, and have hundreds of positive reviews, and are actually crappy chess games.
Somehow, someone at Apple allowed these massive scams into the App Store, despite having screenshots from one of the most advanced and popular video games on the market. Not only that, but these titles have hundreds of positive reviews, obviously fake and bought and paid for. Now, thankfully, one star ratings citing the apps as scams have started to surface, but the overall ratings are still extremely high.
This should expose just how broken the approval process is for getting an app into the App Store. Every single thing about this is fake — stolen IP, false screenshots, outright fraud. All it would have taken to stop is someone simply running the app — but even that didn’t happen. That’s pretty damning all around.
