The saga of Facebook‘s iOS, iPad and HTML5 apps continues. Remember the leaked Project Spartan? Well, it looks like both it and Facebook’s native iPad app are set to launch early next week, possibly in conjunction with Apple’s big event. TechCrunch unearthed a page devoted to an HTML5 version of Facebook which pretty closely matches the discussion around Project Spartan, which they later confirmed to in fact be the much discussed web app.
Even more interesting, their sources claim that Facebook will unleash both the HTML5 webapp and iPad native apps next week, either as part of Apple’s announcement on Tuesday, or if that can’t be arranged, then on Monday under their own steam.
