This morning saw Facebook quietly roll out a minor new feature for the Facebook iPhone and iPad apps and website, one which allows you to save posts to look at them later. As spotted by iMore, all that it takes to save a post is to click and hold on it from within the app. These stories are then added to a Saved section of the application, accessible through the navigation pane.
The functionality appears to be shared between both the website and mobile version of Facebook, so if you’re on your iPhone and see an interesting post or shared news story that you want to look at when you’re back at your computer and have more time, saving it will allow you to spot it later.
Essentially, it’s Instapaper for Facebook.
