Apparently today is a day for lots of app news. Two major apps have just received major redesigns — Tumblr and Evernote have both been updated with new looks.
Version 3.2 of Tumbrl has been completely recrafted as a natived app, with a redesigned dashboard, faster image loading, better notifications, and more support of those crucial animated GIFs. Unfortunately, there’s still no iPad version.
The work on Evernote is a bit more substantial, and in fact, version 5.0 is a total visual overhaul. As detailed in a blog post, the redesign was aimed at making every major feature reachable with just two clicks. In other words the app is now laid out completely differently to how it was before. Even so, the redesign looks mighty handsome, and is sure to be a hit.
