Evernote Teams Up With Moleskine For Smart Notebook

moleskine full Evernote Teams Up With Moleskine For Smart Notebook

Everyone loves Evernote, and everyone loves Moleskine, so it seems only logical that the pair should…well…pair up. The two brands have collaborated on the very cool looking Evernote Smart Notebook. Unlike some of the other combos that Moleskine has made, this one is more than just aesthetic.

The Smart Notebook is designed to pair up with the Evernote iOS application. Each page has special dotted lines or grids, which you can then photograph inside the Evernote app. The app recognizes the dots, and uses them to correct the perspective and contrast of the page, before sending them to Evernote’s servers for OCR. You can also use special colored stickers to tag each page.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen technology like this presented. For more than a year you’ve been able to buy the Shot Note notepads to do something very similar — but these pads haven’t been widely available outside of Asian specialty stores.

The Smart Notebook is available for preorder from $25.
