evasi0n iOS 6 Jailbreak Appears On Target For Release Today

The much anticipated iOS 6.x jailbreak that goes by the name evasi0n has been teasing us with a progress bar that started last week when an official website launched. Originally rumored for a Super Bowl Sunday release, it appears the developers behind the jailbreak are now targeting a mid-day release. The aquafied progress bar now stands at 98% and states it is in “final testing and preparation”. The next step is release.

The evasi0n jailbreak is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 through iOS 6.1. If you have not upgraded to iOS 6.1 update, they are recommending you do so through iTunes and not OTA.

    Yes I am planning on Jailbreaking. I currently have an Iphone 4s running ios 6.1.0. Before my 4s I had a 3gs that I jailbroke using redsnow. And I loved it and couldn’t wait until there was a jailbreak for IOS 6.1.? Now the day is finally upon us? I am very excited!!! :-)
