Motorola posted the above ad to their Facebook page, and apparently it’s hitting newspapers today. It’s similar to one they ran last month. Here’s what the copy says:

At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn’t have to dress up their phone for it to work properly.  That’s why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design.  The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket.  For us it’s just one of those things that comes as a given when you’ve been making mobile phones for over 30 years.

They’re just snarky because they don’t get free cases!

Bulky jacket???? Have you seen this monster of a phone? Is that a hard drive in your pocket or are ya happy to see me? To bad there are like 10 android apps that work as advertised. I’ll stick with the app store and cydia thank you.

What about that death grip video that posted on Apple’s website? Every smartphone needs a nice suit to go out for dinner!! :)

Apple asked for it when they drug the Droid X into there highly public antennae drama. As for having a jacket, HTC makes phones from cheap plastic, even though Apples are more durable my present and Future iPhones will be in cases because I tend to drop them.
