By now, everyone knows that there are issues with the reception on the iPhone 4, and if you hold it wrong you mysteriously lose bars. Law firm Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff are looking into if there’s enough of an issue here to bring a class action lawsuit against Apple. They’re asking anyone who has “experienced poor reception quality, dropped calls and weak signals” to contact the firm.
There’s still a rumor flying around that Apple will fix the problem in the next iOS 4 update — but the longer until that comes out, the worse Cupertino appears. At this juncture, I still think Apple falls into the grace period of fixing it themselves, but it won’t take long until the angry mob gets their pitchforks and torches ready.

For those that are experiencing dropped calls, I would tell them that they need to check with Apple support before doing anything else.
In general, there are reception issues, and with how the phone displays tower signal strength. But if you’re not dropping calls every time you’re on a call, I would say to wait for the update.
This is the STUPIDEST thing I’ve seen yet. Why don’t we bite the hand that feeds us. People beg, barrow, & steal to get the latest iPhone then when they get it they want to sue Apple!!! I don’t understand that logic. I waited in line like everyone else to get my phone. Yes I wish it didn’t do that, but I’m not dropping calls either. Given the choice of waiting for them to release it till they get it fixed or having the phone knowing the issue (and knowing they’ll fix it). I’d take the phone every time! Based on the 1.7 Billion phones sold and lines forming again at AT&T; I’d say most people feel the same.
It was 1.7 million but I am sure that was an innocent typo. No problems here. I am wondering why I am not having the issue. Is it possible I’m not human (my flesh could be alien?).
Possibly, but I’m not having any issues either.
