According to MarketWatch, China will finally be getting the iPhone 4 in September, with the iPad launched at a later, unspecified date. China has only just started selling Wi-Fi enabled iPhone 3GS due to the nation working on their own competing standard for wireless data transfer. Now that they’ve okayed the international standard, Apple is pushing to get more of their devices into the market.
South Korea was originally meant to receive the iPhone 4 on July 29, along with 17 other countries. Due to regulatory issues it didn’t make it to the country then, but pre-orders are now beginning to gear up in anticipation for the official launch in September. Apple sold more than 850,000 3GS iPhones in South Korea, which would indicate some pretty serious interest in the handsets.
