As part of expanding Siri in iOS 6, Apple recently unveiled Eyes Free, a partnership between the tech company and car manufacturers to add a Siri button and integration to upcoming vehicles. Now, we’re hearing the first cars that are going to get this feature, and they’re both by the folks at GM. The GM Authority blog is reporting that the first two models to support Eyes Free will be the Chevrolet Sonic and Spark.
Unfortunately, we don’t know anything more than that. It’s thought a full announcement will come in the next 12 months, but given the rapid pace that smartphones evolve, I only hope that cars will be able to keep up.
