Belkin Leather Hard Case for iPhone 3G

for a leather case, it's not very bulky and stylish looking. the clear screen overlay is not very good though; would suggest getting another protector - got mine from apple store ($15) and it improves function. the top left corner of it peeled off but it's staying in place.

After using the Griffin Elan Leather Form Case on my v1 iPhone, I expected a case from Belkin to be only average. I was surprised by the excellent fit and durability of the Belkin Leather Hard Case. I would have liked to have seen a full screen overlay instead of just a touch screen overlay, but that is a very minor con.

I recommend trying this case at the Apple Store if you are looking for a professional leather case. It's not only solid, it's also a great value!

Leather case feels nice. Seems like it may be a bit bulkier than some other cases but I don't find it a problem. Case feels well made and just generally feels pleasant to hold.

The iPhone slides in through the open top. The opening also allows access to the side buttons. The volume/mute button can be slightly inconvenient to get to but nothing major. The few times I tried to remove my phone from the case, I found it surprising snug (a good thing). It does seem to me that the phone should fit little further and snugger into the bottom but this is very minor.

The lip around the screen can make it just a touch inconvenient to position on the ear, but I fond a good spot where the lip didn't interfere with my ear and I still seemed to have full volume and sound quality. The lip can also very slightly interfere with typing the letters nearest the edges but this is extremely minor and is practically unnoticeable.
