Vodafone UK Promises “iPhone Surprise”
In the wake of the rather disappointing pricing announcement from Orange yesterday, Vodafone have started trying to raise some buzz over them selling the iPhone early next year. If you registered for emails on Vodafone’s website, you may have received a message that they will “be emailing you some iPhone surprises over the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for our essential iPhone guide, which will be helping you unlock the full potential of your iPhone on the Vodafone network.” Given that there is widespread discontent over Orange’s plan, this could be a golden opportunity for Vodafone to sweep in, and actually provide some interesting new plans, or a lower priced handset. However, knowing how marketing types usually work, this “surprise” will probably be nothing more than a gaggle of press releases, and next to useless information. What we’re really hoping the “surprise” is, is a pony. And we’ll love it, and ride it, and take it out every day!
