Bell and Telus Roll Out 3G in Canada
Previously, the great white north was only able to access 3G through the service providers Rogers and Fido, but now Bell and Telus are rolling out an upgrade to HSPA (high speed packet access), which allows them to hit 3G. Bell is already planning to start selling iPhones to take advantage of the new speeds, but unfortunately their prices aren’t particularly different from Rogers’. While the competition between the two has yet to drive down the cost to the consumer, the option of different providers is one that we always embrace. Here’s hoping this trend extends to the United States before long, and we can finally move beyond being locked into AT&T.

Really? This is a shock!
2 months ago a Bell Rep said they were completely against 3G networks and were still preaching that CDMA is the only way to go. He even asked why I was still on the “old” network.
Crazy!
