This iPhone 6 concept video created by Sam Beckett is amazing. It visualizes a 4.-7-inch iPhone, which he’s calling the iPhone Air. His conceptualization shows a design that embodies a number of attributes of the current generation. The result is an iPhone concept that looks very similar to what Apple might release later this year. Previous rumors have mentioned a smaller bezel and larger display.
By creating an iPhone with a larger display, it could allow Apple to make the iPhone 6 thinner, with this concept suggesting 7mm depth or 9 percent thinner. Beckett theorizes in stunning video fashion, an iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch display, 1920×1080 display at 468ppi. That would translate to a 17% larger display with 68% more pixels.
This isn’t a radical concept. Other than the change in display size resulting in a slightly thinner design, it looks similar to the iPhone 5/5s. Apple typically refreshes their product designs every two years. With last year being an ‘S’ year, it’ll be interesting to see Apple’s direction with the iPhone 6. Will it be an evolutionary design with a new larger display? Does the move to a new larger display come with changes to the design? For one, the iPhone has typically had the power button on the top right of the phone. With two iPhones rumored in sizes of 4.7-inches and 5.5-inches, the placement of that button could change to hold onto the slim remnants of one-handed use.
