An interesting new product called the Automatic Link can instantly make your car smarter by interfacing between your iPhone and your car’s onboard computer. The new accessory from Automatic works with virtually any car sold after 1996 and interfaces with your iPhone using Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Just plugin the Automatic link to the car’s data port and follow a few short steps to connect to your iPhone.
The primary use of the Automatic Link is to save money on gas using a variety of tips offered by the app based on what it learns from your driving habits. These can include rough braking, speeding and rapid acceleration. The application combines these factors to generate a Drive Score. Lower your drive score and increase your savings, which the company says could be one third of your yearly expenditure.
The data port is the same used by mechanics. If your car outputs an error, Automatic will attempt to provide you with details on the problem and how to correct it.
Other features include Crash Alert beta. Using a built-in accelermoter, the application can detect a crash and report it to 911, complete with relevant details that include your name, vehicle and map of your location. Crash Alert is available at no extra charge.
One practical feature of this accessory is that you’ll never forget where you parked. Using the app, you can easily locate your car
Automatic Link is available for pre-order and is priced at $69.95.
Thanks Andrew!

This is actually a very usual tool, not only does it track your gas usage, it can also tell you check engine problems and remove the code. I’m buying this one for sure as this is a great mechanics tool.
