We know Verizon is working on a shared data family plan which is meant to launch this Summer — but whither AT&T? CNET is reporting that they’re going to jump on board this train too, thankfully, and allow family accounts to access a shared data well. Talking to CNET, Ralph de la Vega said he knows how the plans will be structured, mentioning ”I’m very comfortable with the plan that will be offered to our customers.”
As with all data plans, the devil’s in the details, and we don’t yet know the prices for these new shared data plans, nor when they’ll be available. Nonetheless, it should prove to be interesting this summer when Verizon’s version launches, and gives us a hint of what we can expect to pay on family plans.
