In early February, AT&T sent out a text to users offering them a free 1000 rollover minutes for not defecting to Verizon — well, they didn’t say that, but it’s implied. Today those minutes arrived, as announced by a text from Ma Bell.
I didn’t receive the original text, but still texted “yes” to the appropriate number. I’m now gratified that my cap-in-hand methodology has scored me some free minutes. Nice!
Anyone else get this message? Any nefarious plans to use these minutes? 1000 minutes is a very long prank call.

I guess living in Alaska, which is a non-verizon market, we didn’t get this.
I live in Fairbanks, and got the text back in February and also got my minutes today.
got my free 1000 mins today. yes, 1000min prank would be classic!!
got my text today as well…not like i need the minutes, i already have 4000!
Got my message as well. I rarely go over so I have a lot of accumulated roll over minutes… still nice to have a free cushion.
What is this “appropriate number” the author mentions?
You have to send YES to 11113020
I just did it and got a response
“Thank you. Your Rollover minutes will be added to your account within 4 weeks, subject to verifying your account eligibility. Limit 1 credit per account.”
I remember seeing the text, but have not received the message about getting the minutes. I already have 6,110 minutes, but it is nice!
Received mine today. I also rarely go over, but who knows may need them someday.
I also received my mintues as well!!!
yes, now these can be added to my already infinite roll over minutes
