AT&T Ranked Bottom Carrier By Consumer Reports. Again.

It seems like every year the same refrain: Consumer Reports ranks the major carriers in the USA, and AT&T is right at the bottom. The report is only available to subscribers, but based on the reaction online, it’s pretty similar to previous years. The list is based on voice and data service quality, as well as how well customer support functions — and AT&T came last of the four. The winner? Verizon nabbed the top spot.

To cushion the blow slightly, AT&T did take top awards in one spot — its 4G LTE network was judged the best in the country, nudging Verizon from pole position in that category at least.

Consumer Reports also mentioned that prepay plans are often a remarkably good deal for smartphone users — assuming you’re not tied to a contract, which I believe most of us are.

  1. Consumer reports is funny. I definitely wouldn’t put AT&T at the bottom it’s better in voice and data when compared to Sprint, and T-Mobile. Verizon is better with voice but not in data. I would respectfully have to disagree with Consumer reports.
