A few weeks back, Adobe's Shantanu Narayen said Adobe was working with Apple to bring Flash to the iPhone. "It’s a hard technical challenge, and that’s part of the reason Apple and Adobe are collaborating," he says. "The ball is in our court. The onus is on us to deliver."

Flash forward to yesterday and once again we're getting a new story from Adobe. Upon releasing a new version of their Flash lite player, questions were raised regarding an iPhone compatible player. A spokesperson for Adobe refused to comment when asked if Apple and Adobe were working together. The company still remains committed to bring Flash to the iPhone, but is that enough?

"We think Flash availability on the iPhone benefits the millions of joint Apple and Adobe customers, and we want to work with Apple to bring these capabilities to the device," an Adobe spokeswoman said. "Adobe is still committed to bringing Flash Player to the iPhone."

CNNMoney contacted Apple who did not respond to a request for comment.
