iControl Pad Now Functional

Over the past few months, photos of an accessory being developed by the iControlPad project that adds physical gaming controls to the iPhone and iPod touch have made their way around the web. A partnering developer has released a video showing the iControl Pad to play Quake on the iPhone
The control pad is reportedly being developed to work on games that rely on the iPhone being jailbroken. No word yet on whether this accessory will work with App Store applications. We don't anticipate Apple giving this accessory their seal of approval. Considering games hold the distinction of being the number one category of downloaded apps from the App Store, you'd imagine a large portion of the iPhone user base would welcome an officially sanctioned iPhone controller accessory.
