DevTeam releases PwnageTool and QuickPwn for iPhone 2.1

Remember the days when it would take up to two months for a new firmware to be jailbroken? Looks like those days are over. Yesterday, Apple released the 2.1 firmware, and this morning, the iPhone Dev Team released PwnageTool and QuickPwn 2.1 for the Mac, both able to jailbreak the 2.1 firmware. The Dev Team previously stated that they were going to have to patch iTunes in order for this to work, but apparently they found a way around that.

Note that these applications are for Mac only; a PC version has not yet been released. Also, while PwnageTool and QuickPwn can unlock the V1 iPhone, they cannot unlock iPhone 3G's, and they should not be used with the new iPod touch. Remember that any kind of modifying is unauthorized and that you use these applications at your own risk.
