If you long for the retro look of a 1940's rotary dial phone coupled with the power of the iPhone, then you might want to look at this elaborate hack. Fonejackerhacker.co.uk has managed to retrofit a rotary dial phone with speakers, an iPhone dock and they have plans to include a microphone in the handset that works with an accompanying iPhone app. Still a work in progress, but impressive.
